Job Purpose

You will be responsible for managing all activities related to freight forwarding services, tracking shipment schedules and processing shipment documentation as per customer orders.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in logistics, with experience in contracting freight forwarding services, generating required documentation, tracking shipment schedules and supporting shipment arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Contracting freight forwarding services for all inbound and outbound shipments at the most cost-effective manner.
  • Generating documentation required as per customer order, tracking shipment schedule and supporting shipment arrangement as per agreed contractual terms and conditions.
  • Supporting outbound, inbound shipment and sampling outgoing quality check activities.
  • Monitoring material inbound/outbound shipment and ensuring that they meet the requirement.
  • Managing all activities in the shipping areas and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
  • Preparing documents such as delivery order, proforma invoices, packing list etc. to meet shipment requirement.
  • Preparing freight invoices for payment process.
  • Processing and following up Marine insurance claim.
  • Coordinating with operations team for stock taking and stock control.
  • Assisting Logistic Manager in all related logistics matters.
Requirements
  • Min Diploma in Logistic Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in shipping inbound and outbound.
  • Knowledge in custom procedures and documentation requirement.
  • Ensuring all shipments are accurate to the customer request, packaged in appropriate packaging and accompanied by all appropriate documentation.
  • Implementing best practices to achieve 24 hour turnaround from receipt of order to shipment.
  • A team player with strong analytical skill, initiative, energetic and customer-oriented.
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill.
  • Knowledge on the use of computers, internet and emailing.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office application especially in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Willing to work overtime, on holidays and weekends as and when necessary or as requested.
  • Having Trade Net account preferred.
