Job Description

The role of Operations Manager is a high-level position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of an aftermarket service facility in the aerospace industry. This individual will be tasked with managing plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Budget Planning: Prepare annual operating budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Plant Development: Support strategic initiatives for introducing new capabilities and improving overall performance.
  • Workforce Management: Plan, forecast, and review manpower requirements to meet business objectives.
  • Training and Development: Oversee employee training and development programs, including performance appraisal, health and safety, and employee relations.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor and manage production, work-in-process, and personnel performance to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly productivity goals and metrics.

This role requires a strong leader who can facilitate change effectively, make sound judgments, and lead by example. A degree in Engineering or equivalent is required, along with minimum 7 years of experience in operations for aftermarket services in the aerospace industry. Additionally, repair station experience and Lean Manufacturing experience/training are highly desirable.
