
Marine Crew Payroll Expert

We are seeking an experienced Crew Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day crew payroll operations for assigned vessels.
The successful candidate will have a strong command of written and spoken English, with excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required, with familiarity with Oracle Fusion being a plus.
Main Responsibilities:
- Validate and process crew allotment instructions, including verifying bank details and ensuring accurate fund disbursement.
- Coordinate with ship personnel to organize Cash to Master transactions and provide clear guidance on reporting procedures.
- Conduct onboarding briefings with vessel Masters to align expectations and clarify account reporting standards.
- Prepare and consolidate monthly victualling, slopchest, and port representation reports for internal review and budgeting.
- Handle special allotments, crew pension-related calculations, claims, and arrange redemption payments with necessary accounting entries.
- Administer and post journal entries related to field staff and newbuilding site-office personnel expenses.
- Respond to vessel inquiries regarding payroll and accounts matters, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within the maritime or shipping sector.
