Job Description:

Senior Legal Counsel is a pivotal role within our organization, requiring an exceptional individual to lead and manage complex legal and compliance matters. This position involves providing expert legal advice to senior management and cross-functional teams on a wide range of matters, including marketing, regulatory, product safety, and compliance.

This includes overseeing the implementation and maintenance of compliance programs, such as advertising regulations. Proactive management of legal risks and support for audits or investigations are also essential components of this role.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of compliance and excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills. They will be able to assess and manage risk while enabling business objectives. Additionally, they should have fluency in spoken Mandarin to liaise with Chinese counterparts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and admission to the Singapore Bar is an advantage. A law degree from the U.S. or Europe is also welcomed.
  • At least 5-8 years of progressive legal experience, ideally in an in-house role within multinational corporations or reputable law firms. Prior experience in handling U.S. or Europe matters is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in compliance.
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills. Strong business acumen with the ability to assess and manage risk while enabling business objectives. Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Fluency in spoken Mandarin to liaise with Chinese counterparts is a plus.

Benefits:
