Human Resources Specialist Role

The role of a Human Resources Specialist plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with local legislation and regulations. This encompasses maintaining employees' personal files, updating employee details in the HR system, and performing monthly payroll processing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing necessary HR documents for hiring, disciplinary handling, exiting, job increments, and promotions
  • Planning, preparing, coordinating, and administering employees' training programs
  • Handling insurance claims and work injury compensations, as well as all documentations
  • Performing duties pertaining to welfare matters, grievances, and disciplinary issues
  • Verifying claims with proper record keeping and monitoring of entitlements for staff outpatient and inpatient medical

The Human Resources Specialist will also handle all government-related matters, including calls from relevant authorities. Additionally, they will oversee and manage all work passes applications, renewal, and cancellations, as well as ensure that foreign workers possess the necessary qualifications and certifications.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing employment contracts and conducting orientation sessions
  • Managing day-to-day HR activities, including maintaining employee records and preparing HR-related documents
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in labor laws and regulations

This role requires at least 2 years' related HR experience, proficiency in Employee Act and HR practices, and the ability to work effectively in Singapore only.
