Maintenance Manager Position

Overview of the Role:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations team. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the activities of technicians, ensuring efficient maintenance operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and supervise all machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  2. Collaborate with production leaders to improve production activities and productivity.
  3. Coordinate daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  4. Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  5. Inspect facilities and equipment to identify necessary repairs and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  6. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and train new technicians to ensure smooth onboarding and optimal performance.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards to protect employees and the environment.
  8. Oversee inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts to prevent stockouts and optimize resource allocation.
  9. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance work to ensure timely completion and quality results.
  10. Train staff on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols to promote a culture of excellence and accountability.
  11. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and reduce business impact.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is highly valued.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly in Chinese, to facilitate collaboration with Chinese-speaking staff.
  • Proven experience in maintenance supervision or a related field, demonstrating expertise and leadership abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and empower technicians to achieve high-performance goals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, using problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations, to respond to emergencies and maintain business continuity.
