Job Summary

DBS Vickers Securities is seeking a skilled sales trader to join our team. As a sales trader, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our Buy-side Institutional clients, supporting the Equity sales team as we roll out new products, and anticipating and proactively communicating market-moving news to stakeholders throughout the trading day.


Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide best execution services to our Buy-side Institutional clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  2. Support the Equity sales team in rolling out new products, including PB clients, corporate share buybacks, DMA/DSA coverage, OTC bond, and Share financing.
  3. Monitor market news and trends, preparing pre-market news summaries and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  4. Execute regional orders for clients across our global network, including Hong Kong, Thailand, the USA, and the UK.
  5. Assist in executing and reporting overseas trades, ensuring seamless trade execution and settlement.
  6. Collaborate with the team to participate in projects enhancing trading system efficiency and process automation.

Key Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualifications, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Equity Execution.
  2. Professional certifications such as CFA or licensed trading representative with SGX/MAS, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional results.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  4. Experience in trading equity, with a solid understanding of trading systems and processes.
  5. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Trading Order Management Systems, Bloomberg, and Microsoft Office suite.
  6. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a keen eye for detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
