Job Summary

To provide quality support and care to youth in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Home Management: Assist the Unit Leader in the day-to-day operations of the Home, ensuring that all residents receive quality care and support.
  • Resident Management: Provide supervision and guidance to residents, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral development.
  • Care Planning: Work with the Caseworker to develop and implement individual care plans for each resident, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
  • Health and Hygiene: Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the Home's premises, as well as promote acceptable personal hygiene standards among residents.
  • Academic Support: Oversee the academic needs of residents, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their studies.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with youth in a residential setting.
  • Basic knowledge of behavior management principles and practices.
Working Conditions

The residential home setting is a 24/7 facility. Staff are rostered to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

This role requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability, as well as a commitment to providing quality support and care to youth in need.
