Senior Chemical Process Optimization Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Process Optimization Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to play a key role in improving production efficiency, quality, and productivity by analyzing current processes and implementing changes.

  • Review and identify gaps in current processes, recommend improvements, and lead the implementation of approved changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of new or updated processes.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues before they lead to incidents.
  • Ensure plant operations meet design specifications.
  • Lead risk assessments and FMEA activities.
  • Follow the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular inspections and team briefings.
  • Train engineers and senior engineers on new or updated processes.
  • Support the engineering team in achieving high proficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with minimum 3 years of relevant work experience. They will possess strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level). Skilled in data analysis, quality tools, and problem-solving, they will also have effective written and verbal communication skills.

Additionally, they will be able to read and understand P&IDs, have basic understanding of chemical process equipment and operations, and be familiar with ISO standards: ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.

Able to write clear and structured reports, they will also possess leadership qualities with ability to lead and motivate others. Systematic thinker with structured approach to tasks, they will make decisions based on sound technical and engineering judgment.
