Business Operations Analyst Job Overview

A Business Operations Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of offline channels and managing partner relationships. This role requires a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including negotiating operations expenses with external vendors, conducting data analysis, optimizing processes, and supporting senior management overviews or business development/investment from an Operations perspective.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving processes, governance structures, and performance management systems by analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing solutions to issues faced within projects.
  • Analyze data to support decision-making and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Develop reports and presentations that communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations and present them to executive audiences.
  • Execute on project components related to operations strategy development, assist with market research, and provide necessary reports for Management's decisions.
  • Provide data analysis sales reports to Operations Excellence Team to inform sales strategies.
  • Monitor store sales and KPI targets, as well as performance targets, to accurately record, verify, and compile sales-related commission, incentives, and push monies.
  • Support new stores opening and closing, new product launches, and events by providing operational assistance.
  • Act as a liaison to co-manage Brand Ambassadors, rostering consolidation, and sales data sharing with Agencies while maintaining positive relationships with external vendors & agencies.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and communicate suggestions to management to drive operational and cost efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the legal department to ensure contractual obligations are met to the best interest of the Organization.
  • Review existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements to manage and optimize company processes.
  • Take charge of all operational permit clearance and renewal for smooth operations, including airport passes.
  • Ensure administrative matters, including invoices and payments, are made before deadlines.
  • Collaborate productively and respectfully with team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Adhere to company retail standards, operation procedure, customs compliance, and related policy.

Requirements & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 years related business analyst experience from FMCG Retail / Travel Retail industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and expertise in Excel (Formula, Pivot Table, Power Pivot, Data Management), PowerPoint for presentation, and Power BI for Data presentation.
  • Ability to create reporting templates from scratch with formulas.
  • Adaptability is paramount, requiring an innate ability to navigate and take on new situations and challenges with agility and accuracy.
