Job Description:

The Assistant Sourcing Manager, Global Merchandise Sourcing is a pivotal role within the organization responsible for overseeing the management of merchandise categories and providing strategic support to the Manager, Global Merchandise Sourcing across multiple categories.

This position requires proactive anticipation of potential production issues, development of innovative solutions, and implementation of processes to mitigate risk and ensure operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include driving measurable efficiencies in team communications, tasks, and overall workflow, assisting management in growing global and segment-wide relationships, and supporting the execution of short and long-term sourcing strategies for managed categories.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and develop actionable plans to drive continuous growth and development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate costing and propose value engineering options.
  • Drive product development management, communicating key milestones and deadlines within the sample approval process.
  • Proactively track and troubleshoot production exceptions and delays.
