Job Description:
Our restaurant is seeking a skilled Vegetarian Cook to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious vegetarian dishes for our customers. This role requires someone who is passionate about food, has excellent culinary skills, and can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of vegetarian dishes, including Chinese bee hoon and fried noodles.
  • Ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, frying, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage daily stock levels, check freshness of vegetables and ingredients, and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Work efficiently during peak hours, ensuring consistency in food quality and portioning.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Experience in cooking vegetarian dishes, particularly Chinese cuisine, is an asset.
  • Able to handle wok, deep fryer, and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of vegetarian food ingredients, such as soya products, is an advantage.
  • Physically fit, able to work in a dynamic kitchen environment.
  • Good hygiene practices and valid Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
