Occupational Therapist - Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and functional independence of children from infants to adolescents.

  • You will assess and evaluate developmental, sensory, and motor skills of children, and develop individualized therapy plans to support their functional independence in home, school, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement interventions for sensory integration, fine motor coordination, handwriting, self-care skills, and play-based learning.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to support child development goals.
  • Monitor progress and adjust therapy goals and strategies accordingly.
  • Conduct caregiver education and home program training.
  • Supervise junior OTs or therapy assistants where required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with professional and legal standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma/degree in occupational therapy.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • AHPC registration required.
  • Pediatric training is preferred.
  • Passionate about working with children and families.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to children.
