Senior Physical Design Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Physical Design Engineer to lead the physical design process for complex semiconductor chips.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring successful implementation of block-level timing closure, formal checks, low power checks, and signoff processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing design constraints to achieve block-level timing closure
  • Performing timing analysis and applying optimization techniques
  • Conducting formal checks to ensure designs meet functional and timing requirements

You will work closely with the design team to develop and implement unified power formats for power management and control, as well as execute block-level Place and Route, Static Timing Analysis, Power Integrity, Physical Verification, and Formal Verification signoff processes.

In addition to utilizing Synopsys and Cadence tools, you will also develop and employ scripts in Tcl, Perl, or Python to automate design tasks and improve the design flow. As a mentor and technical leader, you will guide junior engineers and provide necessary support to ensure successful project outcomes.
