Job Title: Production Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing floor, you will play a vital role in supporting the production build of various systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include planning and conducting independent work, requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria. You will also be responsible for devising new approaches to problems and preparing or modifying drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create manufacturing-ready documentation such as Sequence of Events (SOE) and Assembly Process Workflow.
  • Establish processes for manufacturing and create work instructions for assembly in MES Systems.
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to production staff.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and create process control plans, PFMEA, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Product and Country of Origin Regulations (POR) and CE Compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality departments to drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and manufacturing cycle time.
  • Initiate and support Design for Excellence and manufacturing process improvements/standardization.
  • Engage with Industrial Engineers to optimize layout and product layout floor for new and existing plants.
  • Implement Lean lines using DFT concepts with relevant Jigs and Fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot issues, quality concerns, and first-pass yield issues.

Requirements:

  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing practices, assembly prints, and bills of materials.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
