We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Risk Consultant to join our team. As a senior consultant, you will play a key role in helping organisations tackle issues around governance, risk, and controls so that they can make strategic and risk-informed decisions.
You will support financial institutions and other businesses by conducting internal audits, assessing the effectiveness of their internal audit teams, reviewing internal controls, advising on regulatory compliance, and improving governance through enterprise risk management.
In this exciting opportunity, you will work closely with our dynamic team to bring value to clients in a timely manner.
- Conduct research on client background and key risks, including applicable regulations.
- Develop review scopes, propose tailored audit work programs, and create time schedules.
- Coordinate kick-off meetings and planning activities.
- Perform interviews/workshops with stakeholders/senior management and test complex areas.
- Prepare written reports, organise closing meetings, wrap up audit work files, and support engagement closure.
- Provide guidance to junior team members.
- Support building and maintaining relationships with clients and assist with business development.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A recognised degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a risk and control position.
- Professional qualification (CPA, CA, CIA) is highly preferred.
- Technical knowledge of relevant business risk areas; familiarity with the Financial Services industry is preferred.
- Ability to prioritise and work independently as well as a team player.
- Strong sense of accountability, good time management, and project management skills.
- Effective report writing skills, proficiency with MS Office, strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
