Job Overview: Performing Arts Studio Leader

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our performing arts studio, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Key responsibilities include operational management, staff supervision, student and parent engagement, financial administration, marketing and events, and strategic development.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the studio, ensuring classes, rehearsals, and events run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage studio scheduling, bookings, and class timetables, ensuring seamless communication with staff and students.
  • Ensure all studio facilities are well-maintained, safe, and operational, providing a positive learning environment for students.
  • Handle inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance, ensuring all necessary resources are available for classes and events.
  • Staff & Instructor Management: Supervise and support instructors, administrative staff, and part-time assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Coordinate teaching schedules and class coverage, ensuring continuity and high-quality instruction.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and ensure effective communication within the studio, promoting a culture of open dialogue and feedback.
  • Support recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff/instructors, helping to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Student & Parent Engagement: Serve as the first point of contact for parents and students, addressing inquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, ensuring clear communication about programs, fees, and studio policies, promoting trust and confidence in our services.
  • Assist with enrolments, trials, and student placement into suitable classes, providing personalized support to students and families.
  • Financial & Administrative Duties: Monitor class attendance, student enrolments, and retention rates, providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Assist in invoicing, payment collection, and maintaining financial records, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Track performance metrics to support the studio's growth and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for innovation.
  • Marketing & Events: Support the marketing team in promoting classes, workshops, and events, helping to attract new students and foster community engagement.
  • Assist in planning and execution of showcases, competitions, and school events, showcasing student talent and creativity.
  • Represent the studio professionally in external events and partnerships, building relationships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Strategic Development: Work closely with leadership to implement new programs and initiatives, driving innovation and growth in the studio.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in studio operations, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure alignment of studio practices with our mission and values, upholding our commitment to excellence in performing arts education.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Arts Management, Business, Education, or related field (preferred).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a management or operations role, preferably in education, arts, or enrichment sector.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Passionate about performing arts and youth development.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when required (e.g., events, showcases, competitions).
