Art Studio Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic art space team as an Art Studio Assistant. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for arts, crafts, or DIY projects and be able to provide exceptional customer service.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to assist in various art activities, guide clients through tufting processes, and maintain a well-organized studio environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and teach clients the basics of tufting and other art-related activities.
  • Provide hands-on assistance and troubleshooting during workshops.
  • Ensure clients have a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Set up and clean up workstations before and after sessions.
  • Maintain studio equipment, tools, and materials in good condition.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure cleanliness within the workspace.
  • Assist in applying backing, trimming, and finishing rugs.
  • Ensure quality control for completed projects before handing them over to customers.
  • Greet and assist customers with bookings, inquiries, and purchases.
  • Promote additional services, workshops, and merchandise.
  • Handle cash and digital payments efficiently.
  • Support marketing efforts by capturing content for social media.
  • Assist in inventory management, restocking supplies, and organizing materials.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements:

  • Able to communicate effectively with clients of all skill levels.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as handling tufting tools and processing rugs.
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in tufting, arts, customer service, or teaching is a plus (training will be provided).
  • Must be willing to work shift hours, including weekends and public holidays.
