Senior Laboratory Assistant Job Description

The laboratory team is responsible for conducting rigorous laboratory tests and analyzing samples to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Our ideal candidate will be knowledgeable on all equipment operating procedures as well as all quality control procedures and competent on the use of laboratory equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Raw material process and finished product quality control analysis
  • Advanced maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of assigned laboratory equipment
  • Maintenance of chemicals and consumables inventory, preparation, and standardization of chemical reagents, and waste management
  • Maintenance of quality records and development of quality procedures
  • Training of junior laboratory or chemical technicians
  • Calibration of equipment
  • Conduct and contribute to risk assessment, quality procedures, and decision-making on quality and maintenance

Requirements:

We require a Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or a related field, with at least 5 years' experience in conducting manual wet chemistry or manual lab testing. Hands-on experience with equipment calibration and reagent preparation is also essential.
