Lead UI/UX Strategist Role Summary:

This senior design position is responsible for developing and implementing user experience strategies that drive business results and improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Vision & Strategy
    • Define and communicate a compelling UI/UX vision and strategy aligned with the company's mission and business goals.
    • Identify design opportunities by analyzing user needs, healthcare/wellness trends, and competitive landscapes to enhance usability, user satisfaction, and market differentiation.
    • Advocate for design excellence within the organization, building strong cross-functional relationships and influencing product direction.
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing UI/UX team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and design excellence.
    • Cultivate team growth through coaching, skills development, and performance management.
  • End-to-End Design Delivery
    • Oversee the full design lifecycle, from user research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final implementation, ensuring usability, accessibility, and design excellence standards are met.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design with product goals and technical feasibility, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • User-Centred Design & User Research
    • Champion user research as a core input to product strategy, embedding research into the design and development process.
    • Plan, oversee, and execute research activities, gathering insights from diverse user groups including patients, clinicians, and corporate clients.
    • Translate research findings into actionable product recommendations, driving data-informed design decisions and roadmap prioritization.
  • Design Systems & Quality Assurance
    • Own the development and governance of design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across the company's digital products.
    • Lead regular design reviews and enforce quality standards to uphold design excellence.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication
    • Serve as a key design advocate and liaison with executive leadership, partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on design objectives and priorities.
    • Clearly articulate design rationale, progress, and impact to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Data-Informed Design Decision Making
    • Implement frameworks to measure user engagement and design effectiveness.
    • Use data insights to validate design choices and drive continuous enhancements that boost user satisfaction and business results.
  • Process Optimisation & Documentation
    • Identify and implement improvements in design processes to increase team efficiency and output quality.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of design standards, workflows, and best practices to support team alignment and knowledge sharing.
    Requirements:
    • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with experience in a leadership or management role preferred.
    • Proven track record in designing and delivering digital products in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
    • Expertise in user research and skilled at translating user insights into strategic product decisions.
    • Strong people management skills, including team development, performance management, and mentorship.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
