Senior Process Development Engineer

As a Senior Process Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing unit processes to meet the yield and quality requirements of advanced NAND part types.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and troubleshoot processes, drive yield and quality improvement, and participate in technology choices for upcoming nodes. You will also identify disruptive processes early on and work with manufacturing and technical development teams to identify viable paths forward.

Additionally, you will perform fundamental research, hardware evaluations, and testing processes for novel applications, generating intellectual property relevant to Micron. You will initiate and manage experiments to widen process margins and test manufacturability of next node solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of chemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass transport. A bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical/Microelectronic Engineering, or Chemistry is required, as well as 2-3 years of experience in semiconductor equipment/process development.

Required skills and qualifications include working knowledge of data analysis systems, design of experiments, and excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to collaborate with local and overseas teams, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and display Micron values (Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration, and Customer Focus) are essential.

This role requires strict adherence to Micron Intellectual Property protection policy and participation in continuous worldwide technical development engagement with suppliers pushing for breakthrough solutions.
