Job Overview

The role of an air conditioning specialist involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing various types of air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities include maintaining and servicing air conditioners in households and commercial spaces throughout Singapore. This includes washing and diagnosing issues with different brands and types of aircon units, installing new equipment and dismantling existing systems for repair or replacement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and rectifying malfunctioning systems by replacing worn-out components or repairing defective parts.
  • Performing chemical washes and overhauls to restore optimal performance.
  • Carrying out thorough inspections and maintenance tasks on air conditioners to prevent future breakdowns.
  • Preparing detailed service reports after each job completion.
  • Keeping accurate records of work schedules and assignments.
  • Transporting required materials and supplies as needed.
  • Communicating effectively with clients regarding equipment problems and post-job updates.
  • Completing additional tasks assigned by supervisors or management as required.

This position requires the following essential skills and qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Class 3 or Class 2B driving license in Singapore.
  • Confident and experienced driver able to operate medium-to-large sized vans.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working as an air conditioner technician with expertise in chemical washes, general servicing, repairs and installations.
  • Previous experience working on centralized aircon system maintenance is highly beneficial.
  • Proficient in performing repairs and cleaning on common aircon brands for wall-mounted, ceiling, casement, ducted and portable units in Singapore including Daikin, Panasonic, Samsung, Mitsubishi Electric and Heavy Industries, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Carrier and Europace.
  • Basic English language skills with ability to write and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring principles and concepts.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks such as climbing.
