Job Overview

As a key player in managing pricing strategies and commercial activities across the Asia region, you will be responsible for analyzing revenue and costs elements applied in pricing. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to support revenue generation and enhance market competitiveness.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze revenue and cost elements applied in pricing.
  • Understand local charges and recoveries in all ports of loading and ports of discharge in the service area.
  • Stay up-to-date on country trade imports, total market size, commodities moved, and lines serving the ports in the country.
  • Compile monthly revenue growth reports for distribution by the 20th of every month.
  • Support the global sales team in tender pricing.
  • Understand equipment imbalance situations for the countries being handled.
  • Calculate pre-carriage and post-carriage costs for non-base ports.
  • Conclude rate filing agreements timely within 24 hours.
  • Obtain weekly market reports for countries to monitor lifting and freight movement.
  • Monitor agent performance in terms of vessel profiles set for respective agencies.
  • Perform yield management to drive the best cargo mix.
  • Assist in feasibility studies on pricing strategies and trade services, and be involved in business development plans and other trade commercial projects.
  • Understand key components of the trade service profit and loss statement and identify areas for improvement.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Business or an equivalent field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in pricing analysis or commercial roles within the shipping industry.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Meticulous, outgoing, assertive, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
