Job Title: Director, Finance

At Hatch Asia, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead our finance and accounting function. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including planning, reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial activities, including planning, reporting, and analysis.
  • Partner with the CEO and Deputy CEO to maximize growth in the business.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function to provide insights and recommendations for business strategy and decision-making.
  • Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and procedures are in place.
  • Ensure financial compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Oversee the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
M&A Strategy and Execution:
  • Lead the company's M&A strategy, identifying, evaluating, and executing potential acquisition targets to enhance the company's growth and market position.
  • Direct comprehensive due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal, and risk assessments of potential acquisition targets.
  • Develop and implement complex financial models to evaluate the financial impact of potential M&A transactions.
  • Lead negotiations with potential acquisition targets, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Plan and manage post-merger integration activities to ensure smooth transitions and the realization of anticipated synergies.
  • Communicate M&A strategies, opportunities, and outcomes to senior management, board members, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. CPA, MBA, or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance with a significant focus on M&A or corporate development.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.
