Chief Financial Officer, APAC

Edelman Asia Pacific is seeking a seasoned finance leader to join our team as Chief Financial Officer, APAC. As a trusted advisor and business partner to the Regional CEO and APAC leadership team, you will play a key role in driving profitable growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a strong and diverse finance team across APAC, working closely with colleagues globally to deliver financial strategies and drive business outcomes.
- Form and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring fairness, transparency, and open collaboration.
- Oversee annual budgeting and monthly forecast processes, highlighting opportunities to minimize risks and maximize growth.
- Provide regular financial insights to support key management decisions and business performance, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Identify opportunities to address conflicts or change processes to improve business efficiency in a complex matrix organization.
- Lead a team of 60-70 finance team members with 10 direct reports, motivating, coaching, and training to drive career development and growth.
- Actively support and manage the career development of direct reports and their teams, identifying opportunities for learning and growth.
- Proactively address tough situations with honest and fair conversations, encouraging a collaborative team culture that lives the Edelman values.
- Strengthen commercial financial literacy among business consultants to enable healthy, profitable client relationships.
- Enable the finance team to work in partnership with client leads to accurately price out projects at appropriate contribution margin levels.
- Prepare for and participate in client and procurement negotiations to build relationships and agree mutually acceptable terms.
- Support the finance team to manage the month-end close, adhering to global timelines and requirements.
- Engage actively with controllership function and internal audit team to ensure compliance and risk management.
- Remain connected to global Treasury and Tax teams to highlight issues, mitigate risks, and support changes to behavior or processes.
