Business Development Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Sales and Marketing team for Engineering Plastics & Polymers in Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish credit lines, review and analyze financial status of customers, and manage credit control in accordance with company requirements.
  • Coordinate with overseas offices for existing and potential customers to expand sales.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and plan strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Work on monthly or weekly pricing from suppliers to customers/distributors.
  • Perform half-yearly reviews on sales budgets set with suppliers/distributors.
  • Prepare monthly sales results/reports as required.
  • Establish strong relationships with customers, create synergy, and maximize business opportunities.
  • Support sales presentations to customers for new product grades.
  • Manage and coordinate customer support activities, allowed by the principal.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance in assigned areas.
  • Support the principal in realizing sales budgets for assigned customers.
  • Manage outstanding invoices/customers' complaints.
  • Provide market intelligence and share within the team.
  • Manage end-user relations by coordinating agent activities, technical services, marketing, and distribution in the area.
Requirements
  • Degree/Polytechnic Diploma holder in any discipline.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of sales experience in import/export business (forwarding/trading activities).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (high presentation level required).
  • Knowledge of Engineering Plastics, Rubber/PU application, and Rubber/PU machine operation preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of LC beneficial.
  • Open to travel (approximately 1-2 trips per month).
  • Strong team player.
