Your Key Contributions

In this position, you will oversee the production of essential Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and provide necessary technical guidance to the operational teams to maintain and enhance production processes. Your focus will be on achieving seamless execution during each production campaign, prioritizing safety, quality, supply, and cost-effectiveness. You will also play a vital role in developing Cost Improvement Projects (CIPs).

As a Team Leader, you will guide work teams within your division, managing personnel, technical, and financial resources effectively. Your expertise will be instrumental in coaching your team members in their daily responsibilities, and you will be expected to address complex challenges within your area of specialization.

Position Overview

  • Lead and mentor a team of Process Technicians in the manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
  • Oversee commissioning activities for all plant equipment, participate in safety inspections, and contribute to the creation of standard operating procedures.
  • Engage in the design processes for plant equipment and water systems.
  • Act as the Site Incident Commander for the Organic Synthesis Plant in the absence of the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental Health Safety, cGMPs, GDP, and all relevant company policies.
  • Support our vision of being a Best in Class manufacturing site, delivering the highest quality products safely.

  • Direct and guide your team, establishing and communicating objectives, setting priorities, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Inspire your team to meet performance expectations through effective coaching techniques.
  • Prioritize Safety and GMP Compliance as essential operational metrics.
  • Understand and guide the team on processes and procedures, ensuring good data management practices are followed.
  • Be available for real-time support and escalation of any concerns from your team.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular discussions with your team to foster a positive compliance culture.
  • Ensure the work environment is consistently safe and ready for inspections.
  • Facilitate effective training for all operational staff to ensure adherence to SOPs and OJT.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a technical field or equivalent qualifications.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a supervisory role within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or petrochemical sectors.
