Desktop Support Role Overview

The primary function of this Desktop Support role is to provide high-quality technical assistance to end-users. As a key member of the support team, you will be responsible for resolving issues efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Your key areas of focus will include:

  • Providing technical support for desktop computers, applications, and related technologies.
  • Performing installation, configuration, migration, upgrading, and maintenance of desktop PCs, operating systems, application software, and IT peripherals.
  • Troubleshooting client platform-related problems.
  • Responding promptly to incidents, investigating, and providing temporary and/or permanent resolutions.
  • Managing hardware and software requisitions as well as inventory for all IT equipment and coordinating disposal requirements.
  • Performing other IT-related activities as requested by users on a case-by-case basis or projects requested by clients.

Key Qualifications Include:

  • At least 1 year of working experience in the IT industry.
  • Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange/Linux is an advantage.
  • Ability to quickly learn and support new technologies and take on new responsibilities as priorities change.
