Job Description

To drive operational excellence in a dynamic business environment, we seek an experienced Director to lead our Investment Banking Operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operations, maintaining processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulators. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and subject matter experts, to support business operations and promote alignment with bank objectives and service level agreements.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of operation functions, utilizing data and technology to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to customer experience.
Key Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Identifying trends and opportunities to improve areas and develop new processes and procedures through monitoring and analysis of operation data and performance metrics.
  • Managing operations for a business area and promoting efficient processes, risk management, and compliance initiatives to support the bank's operations.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support business operations and promote alignment with bank objectives and SLAs.
  • Developing and managing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operation functions, utilizing data and technology to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong experience (10+ years) in Investment Banking Operations/Global Markets Operations and/or Corporate Banking Operations.
  • Understanding of what it takes to support a new entity buildout.
  • Demonstrated understanding of what it takes to expand/introduce new products and its impact on operational procedures.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regional and local regulations.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
