Job Title:

Principal Design Engineer

">Job Summary:
  • Design and develop high-precision semiconductor equipment to meet the processing and automation needs of customers.

To succeed in this position, you need to have a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, as well as experience with design software such as SolidWorks and Pro/Engineer.

Additionally, you should be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

">Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop high-precision semiconductor equipment, including precision mechanisms, structural and kinematic analyses, and FEA simulations.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into overall product solutions.
  3. Develop detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and layout drawings for mechanical components.
  4. Select and size standard components available off the shelf, taking into account factors such as cost, reliability, and performance.
  5. Perform design improvements where appropriate and document results.
">Requirements:

BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 0-3 years experience in designing and developing automated equipment.

Expertise in 3D solid modeling, preferably Creo (others like Solidworks, NX are also acceptable).

Experience with pneumatic/fluid circuit design and electro-mechanical module conceptualization and design is highly desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think creatively and outside the box.

">Preferred Experience:

Ultra high-precision machine design.

High-speed pick and place mechanism design.

Structural, kinematics and dynamic analyses and FEA simulations.

Geometrical tolerancing and dimensional analyses.

Engineering material selection.

Manufacturing process selection.

Application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE.
