Job Description:

A Senior Construction Professional is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale construction projects. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The Senior Construction Professional plays a crucial role in managing day-to-day operations of a project, which includes manpower planning, construction progress monitoring, preparation of master schedules, and cost control. They must also be able to identify and mitigate potential risks, as well as take corrective actions when necessary.

In addition to their technical skills, a Senior Construction Professional must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be working closely with various teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan, lead, and monitor progress and performance against the project plan
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project, including manpower planning, construction progress monitoring, preparation of master schedules, and cost control
  • Take actions to deal with results of delay, bad weather, or emergencies at the construction site
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities in resolving site issues
  • Apply safe and economical methodology and enforce project standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control. You should also have at least 10 years of experience in managing construction teams for projects of similar scale and complexity. Additionally, you must have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control

  • At least 10 years of experience in managing construction teams for projects of similar scale and complexity
