Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Engineer to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our APAC customer engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our airline customers, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and maintaining strong working relationships with technical departments of our airline partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interface with Customer Engineering teams within APAC, facilitating communication and collaboration between matrix organizations
  • Represent the Customer Engineering team in responding to inquiries from component customers within APAC, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Maintain and expand good working relationships with technical departments of our airline customers, fostering trust and cooperation
  • Coordinate with Quality Department, Process Team, and other relevant stakeholders to extend the reach of the existing APAC customer engineering team
  • Prepare and present technical presentations to various audiences, including customers, internal teams, and external partners
  • Support other customer engineering leads in documentation, technical analytics reports, and regular reviews, promoting consistency and quality
  • Regularly obtain customer feedback, identifying systematic process weaknesses and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide technical support to customer service and sales teams on contractual contents, customer acquisition, and routine phase activities
  • Evaluate technical trends in the MRO market, deriving customer requirements, and bringing insights and feedback into the organization
  • Participate in international projects, perform special tasks, and contribute to strengthening LHT's customer engineering services to meet global industry standards
  • Work collaboratively with the global APAC Customer Engineering team to launch internal campaigns focusing on critical topics like Reliability Engineering, Value Engineering, Predictive Analysis, Data Quality, Component removal behavior analysis, Digitalization, etc.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or required by the role

Requirements and Qualifications

  • University or technical college degree in Engineering, Aircraft/Aeronautical Engineering, or Electronics and Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of proven professional experience in the field of component overhaul and/or aircraft maintenance, reliability, and technical services, ideally with certification as a Design/Verification Engineer
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills, with knowledge of an Asian language or German being advantageous
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Experience working with global regions and stakeholders, with a high degree of intercultural competency and understanding of Asian cultures
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a customer-oriented attitude and strong ability to build close relationships with customers
  • Able to work effectively with people, solve problems, and develop yourself through challenging day-to-day work
  • Ability to adapt and solve complex challenges and new ways of business, with self-driven motivation
  • Possess a strong character with distinction to develop and drive business and customer relationships forward
  • Ability to represent Lufthansa Technik consistently and professionally
  • Able to travel to Germany and within Asia occasionally

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately €80,000 - €100,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
