Housekeeping Operations Supervisor

The position of Housekeeping Operations Supervisor is a crucial role within an organization, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of facilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Task Assignment and Inspection: Assign housekeeping tasks to staff, inspect work to ensure high standards are met, and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Scheduling and Organization: Schedule staff shifts, organize replacements as needed, and manage staff rotas.
  • Complaint Resolution: Investigate and address complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
  • Staff Development: Provide training to housekeeping staff, including onboarding new employees and addressing skill gaps.
  • Cleaning Supplies Management: Regularly take inventory of cleaning supplies, order stock as needed, and issue supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff.
  • Staff Recruitment and Selection: Screen housekeeping applicants, recommend promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
  • Emergency Coverage: Perform various cleaning duties in instances of staff shortages or emergencies.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in supervising housekeeping staff, with a track record of success in meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, management, and clients.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of cleaning methods, products, and equipment, with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
