**Job Title:** Assistant Editorial Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned journalist or editor to lead our Lifestyle section. As an Assistant Editorial Lead, you will be responsible for shaping our content strategy, driving innovation, and fostering a high-performing team.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging local and regional lifestyle content through strategic partnerships and diverse storytelling formats.
  • Curate and package compelling narratives from various sources, ensuring accessibility and quality.
  • Develop and execute multimedia campaigns across multiple platforms, including news reports, feature articles, photo essays, and social videos.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, guiding a team of journalists and promoting excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of newsroom experience, with a preference for candidates with proven editing experience.
  • A good bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism, communications, or social science.
  • Strong news sense and the ability to persuade with words.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Bonus Points:

If you possess:

  • Experience in digital media, social media management, and/or video journalism.
  • Proficiency in a second or third language.
