HVAC Project EngineerThis role involves overseeing HVAC system projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC project engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in managing HVAC projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Establish project teams, document files, and work with the main contractor's master schedule.
- Review system design and specifications for compliance and performance.
- Appoint sub-contractors for different trades and establish their scope of work and liabilities.
- Manage site offices and storage, submit shop drawings, equipment delivery schedules, and material samples for approval.
- Plan and monitor equipment delivery to the job site, participate in job-site meetings, including technical and nominated sub-contractor coordination meetings.
- Evaluate job-site safety standards and ensure they comply with relevant regulatory authorities.
- Assess and evaluate the performance of sub-contractors for future reference.
- Submit monthly progressive claims to the main contractor for certification by consultants.
- Prepare monthly financial status reports for the accounts department and manage sub-contractors' claims and payment processes.
- Check and supervise project final testing and commissioning, prepare and submit as-built drawings, hand-over kits, operational and maintenance manuals.
- Establish a maintenance service program during the defects liability period.
- Prepare overall project reports.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in project handling, preferably dealing with air-conditioning, chiller, or HVAC systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
