We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Field Application Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

A Technical Field Application Engineer is responsible for supporting customers with their IoT solutions, working closely with sales and marketing teams to provide technical guidance and support during the design-in stage. This role involves analyzing customer needs and mapping them to suitable IoT solutions, providing roadmap, new product, and technical update guidance, and assisting customers with hardware and firmware integration.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers during the design-in stage
  • Analyze customer needs and map them to suitable IoT solutions
  • Assist customers with hardware and firmware integration, including cellular and non-cellular modules, antenna and RF layout guidance, and installation assistance
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Wireless technology expertise: LTE, 5G, mmWave, Cat-M, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi
  • Hardware knowledge: PCB design, RF layout, power optimization
  • Firmware expertise: AT commands, C/C++ SDKs, AppZone, MCUs
  • Protocol understanding: MQTT, CoAP, Modbus, TCP/IP, HTTPS
  • Programming language proficiency: Python, JavaScript, C/C++, Java
  • Debug tool familiarity: JTAG/SWD, UART tools, AT logs, Docker logs, MQTT payloads, REST APIs
