Support Services Coordinator

Job Summary:

  • This is a key role for someone who has the ability to engage with seniors and volunteers, while providing essential support services.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate active ageing programmes and services within and beyond our centre.
  • Provide befriending and buddying services to frail and vulnerable elderly in their homes.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communal meals for seniors, including participant engagement, food ordering, and event setup.
Social Support & Community Engagement
  • Act as a social connector, supporting seniors in adhering to health plan recommendations through social and lifestyle interventions.
  • Conduct community outreach and assess the needs of elderly residents within our designated service area.
  • Make referrals to appropriate services for elderly individuals in need of further assistance.
Administrative & Reporting Duties
  • Enrol new members, maintain accurate attendance records, visitation notes, and compile data or statistics required by funders.
  • Manage invoicing, fee collection, cash handling, and banking.
  • Oversee documentation, including report submissions, claims, and filing. Assist with audit preparations and documentation.
Centre Operations
  • Perform various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the centre.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the reporting officer.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in eldercare or social services.
  • At least 1 year of experience in direct operational roles, especially in eldercare, including programme facilitation and needs assessment.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, particularly with community partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong administrative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented yet capable of working independently.
  • Enjoys engaging with seniors and volunteers.
