Therapy Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This individual will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists and patients in providing high-quality care.



About the Job

This position involves assisting with patient care, maintaining therapy areas and equipment, and performing various administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing treatment rooms and equipment, liaising between patients and therapists, and transporting patients within the facility as needed.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Support: Assist patients with mobility and perform exercises under supervision, monitoring their responses and reporting concerns to therapists.
  • Treatment Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, ensuring everything is clean and sanitized before each session.
  • Liaison and Communication: Facilitate communication between patients, therapists, and other departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage supply ordering, phone calls, and scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate records and documentation.


Requirements:
  • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is an asset, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, superb interpersonal and communication abilities, attention to detail, and a caring nature.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving patients as needed.
