Job Title: Data Insights Leader

Description

  • We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our data analytics team. As the leader of this group, you will be responsible for driving innovation and ensuring the accuracy and up-to-dateness of our data products.
  • Your work will involve guiding a team of data scientists and web developers to meet their targets regarding product volume, timeliness, completeness, and accuracy. This includes training, goal setting, resource allocation, performance management, and promoting staff development.
  • You will also play a key role in communicating the team's strategic projects to various internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication within the organization.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the daily operations of the data team, overseeing the development and implementation of data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes.
  2. Collaborate closely with senior leadership, sales, marketing, and tech partners to understand customer needs and develop data products that meet those needs.
  3. Analyze and interpret complex data sets, identifying trends and patterns that inform business decisions and drive growth.
  4. Maintain meticulous documentation of all processes, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as mathematics or computer science, with at least 5 years of experience in the analytics domain.
  • Proven track record of solving challenging problems by applying Advanced Analytics (Predictive/Casual/Optimization).
  • A minimum of one year's experience managing and motivating a team within a commercial data/information operation, creating new metrics, indices, and performance measurement.
  • Advanced usage of R and Python, with strong ability to analyze, interpret, and present data using advanced graphing software.
  • Experience with sourcing data sets from publicly available sources and indexing external websites.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile, Feature Driven Development, Rapid Application Development.
