Early Intervention Specialist Role
">The Early Intervention Centre (EIC) is seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join its team as an Early Intervention Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to children and their families, promoting their development and well-being.
">Develop and implement individualized lesson plans, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Trans-disciplinary and Family-Centred Practices. Ensure that teaching materials, methods, tools, and assistive technologies are aligned with the child's learning goals and developmental needs.
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to co-create natural learning environments that stimulate children's learning interest and promote engagement. Implement new teaching and learning approaches to meet the diverse needs of children.
Implement appropriate classroom management strategies to manage individual and group learners effectively. Coordinate centre-based intervention and home-based intervention with the Trans-disciplinary team, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
Coordinate with family members and caregivers to enhance child and family outcomes. Develop and implement functional learning goals for each child in collaboration with the Trans-disciplinary team and family members.
Monitor and review children's progress, functional goals, and family priorities regularly. Maintain accurate records of each child's daily attendance, assessment, intervention records, and progress of development.
Prepare Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Progress summaries/Narrative summaries for each pupil. Discuss these documents with parents during Parent-Team Conferences.
Ensure the administration, intervention, caregiving, and safety of pupils are maintained at all times. Regularly communicate with parents or guardians through various means, including email, phone calls, or communication books.
Adopt evidence-based practices in the Early Intervention sector, including Trans-disciplinary and Family-Centred Practices. Maintain health, safety, hygiene standards, and procedures to ensure a safe learning environment.
Inventory and maintain all equipment and resources in the EIC classrooms and common areas. Attend meetings, discussions, training, workshops, functions, and events as necessary for operational efficiency and professional development.
Maintain confidentiality regarding all matters pertaining to children, families, and staff at all times. Support the implementation of centre initiatives and identify areas for improvement in family and community programs.
Assist in ad-hoc projects/committees and perform other duties as directed by the EIC Director or Head Teacher.
