Job Title: Senior Petrochemical Industry Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our Singapore-based petrochemical startup targeting the Indian market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing India-focused growth strategies, driving revenue scaling and client acquisition.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify key opportunities in India's petrochemical demand, including polymers, specialty chemicals, and refinery products.
  • Build and manage relationships with Indian clients, including refineries, manufacturers, traders, and government bodies.
  • Navigate India's import/export regulations, GST, customs, and trade policies.
  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain, procurement, and logistics between Singapore and India, ensuring cost-efficient feedstock sourcing, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Lead P&L, budgeting, and financial planning with a focus on India-market profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian regulations and Singapore trade laws, monitoring policy changes impacting petrochemical trade.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Sociology or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in petrochemicals/oil & gas, with 15+ years in leadership VP.
  • Proven track record in India's petrochemical market, with understanding of pricing, demand cycles, and key players.
