We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Executive, Finance to join our team at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

The Senior Executive, Finance will support the Manager to ensure effective and efficient running of all administrative and finance-related services/matters to staff from academic, administrative to students and Faculty. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting operational finance and procurement activities of the local unit, ensuring efficient and smooth operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Assisting the Financial Business Partner to prepare financial analysis and forecast on the local unit's financial position, tracking expenses from internal records and financial reports to monitor budget utilization.
  • Performing monthly monitoring on balance sheet items, open commitments, and providing follow-ups on outstanding items, reviewing open POs to ensure no long outstanding POs.
  • Timely submission of year-end accruals schedules with relevant supporting documents.
  • Assisting the Finance Business Partner to prepare audit schedules, following up with audit queries for yearly financial audit.
  • Supporting the Finance Business Partner in any other matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting/Finance/Business.
  • At least 2 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc).
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management skills, able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Familiarity with systems such as SAP, SAP Concur, ICS, Ariba will be advantageous.
