Event Management Professional

The Event Management Professional is responsible for planning, executing, and managing conferences efficiently and effectively. This includes the management and coordination of all event logistics.

  • Collaborate with caterers, venues, and other vendors to determine the cost to produce a conference
  • Develop and monitor timelines and budgets, ensuring the conference is run as planned
  • Oversee processes and site work to ensure that vendor deliverables are met
  • Work with graphic designers and webmasters to track their progress as they create marketing collateral, taking care to ensure that all materials are produced properly and delivered to the appropriate persons/venues
  • Coordinate all audio and visual needs. Review the site to ensure that all equipment and supplies are in place and working properly
  • Develop a procedure for registering and checking in participants
  • Act as the client liaison and be accountable for all project deliverables

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Event Management preferred
  • Proven ability to work on tight deadlines and meet objectives
  • Be results-driven and goal-oriented
  • Have a thirst for knowledge and be interested in broad learning
  • Be innovative and have a good understanding of business
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills required
  • Good comprehension of conference and association matters
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience preferred
  • Entry level candidates with good personal attributes can apply
