Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Corporate Communications officer to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a central role in crafting and executing communications campaigns to effectively engage with the public and stakeholders on energy-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive integrated communication strategies and campaigns to raise awareness, educate, and inform the public about energy-related initiatives, policies, and programmes.
  • Create compelling and impactful content for various platforms, including social media, websites, media materials, newsletters, and multimedia materials.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets to facilitate positive coverage and manage enquiries from journalists.
  • Utilise digital marketing tools and analytics to optimise reach and engagement with target audiences.
  • Organise and coordinate stakeholder engagement initiatives to foster dialogue and gather feedback.
  • Ensure effective internal communication of key initiatives through disseminating relevant information to staff members and stakeholders within the organisation.
  • Conduct research and gather data to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop protocols and strategies for managing communication during crises or emergencies to ensure public trust and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing integrated communication strategies and campaigns, preferably in the public sector or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in developing and implementing integrated communications strategies across earned, owned, and paid media will be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management, content management systems, and analytics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
