Job Title: Tax Specialist Downstream

The purpose of this role is to support the tax manager in delivering tax advisory, compliance, and policy support to downstream businesses with a global perspective.

The tax specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the implementation and embedding of the tax strategy and governance framework across all tax work performed locally to effectively manage tax risks.

This role involves partnering with global brands and businesses, maintaining relationships with key personnel, and supporting the development of sustainable value through professional advice and planning in line with the tax strategy and governance framework.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and partner with businesses across the global network and within the group tax function.
  • Collaborate with local tax advisors and internal networks to support business activities.
  • Champion strong collaboration to deliver sustainable value.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with tax authorities and represent before tax authorities and courts when necessary.
  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting processes, support tax audits, disputes, and litigation.
