Downstream Tax Specialist\

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert tax advisory, compliance and policy support to downstream businesses with a global perspective.

\

As a key member of the tax team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation and embedding of the Tax Strategy and Tax Governance Framework across all tax work performed locally.

\

You will be responsible for partnering with global downstream business, maintaining relationships with key personnel and providing professional advice and planning in line with the Tax Strategy and Tax Governance Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
\
  • Proactively partner with businesses across the global downstream business and within the Group Tax function.
  • Collaborate with local tax advisors and internal Group Tax network to support downstream business activities.
  • Champion strong collaboration with other parts of Group Tax and the downstream business to deliver sustainable value.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with tax authorities and represent before tax and appellate authorities when necessary.
  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting processes, support tax audits, disputes and tax litigation.
  • Provide advice on day-to-day tax matters, transactions including M&A.
