At the Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition, we aim to bridge the gap between cognitive neuroscience and education by developing neuroscience-based interventions for lifelong flexible learning.
Our research focuses on understanding the neural basis of cognitive flexibility, which is critical for adapting to change, problem-solving creatively, and making the most of opportunities. We investigate how individuals differ in their ability to adapt to new situations and how these differences impact their learning and performance. By understanding the underlying neural mechanisms, we can develop more effective interventions to enhance cognitive flexibility and promote lifelong learning.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cognitive neuroscience, education, or a related field, and experience in designing and implementing studies, collecting and analysing data, and preparing conference presentations and journal papers. They will also have prior experience in conducting adult cognitive testing, participant recruitment, and data management protocols. Strong statistical knowledge and skills, including familiarity with R and SPSS, are essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also required.
