Purchasing Manager Role

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced purchasing professional to manage our supply chain and oversee the delivery of fresh produce, groceries, and condiments to businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Partnerships: Identify and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality supply.
  • Inventory Management: Control expiration dates and dispose of near-expiring products to prevent losses.
  • Procurement Planning: Develop plans based on customer needs to ensure sales for the market.
  • Product Operations: Manage category operations, maintain product information, and perform daily tasks such as file creation, listing, and event submissions.
  • Gross Profit Optimization: Analyze procurement costs, identify savings opportunities, and improve gross profit margins.
  • New Product Sourcing: Inquire about products and prices, compare prices from multiple sources, reduce costs, increase margins, and create inventory to meet customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Professional sourcing experience with a thorough understanding of international food markets and trade regulations.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
  • Minimum three years of experience working in a leading platform with independent responsibility for a specific product category.
  • Familiarity with major local markets for fruits, vegetables, seafood, meat, seasonings, and alcoholic beverages.
  • Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and cost control skills.
