We are seeking a seasoned business development professional to join our team as a Business Development Associate. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in sales and account management within the health and wellness industry.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers in pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. They will also conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities for product implementation within client organizations and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to healthcare audiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with decision-makers in pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings
- Conducting needs assessments to identify opportunities for product implementation within client organizations
- Demonstrating compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations tailored to healthcare audiences
- Negotiating contracts and closing sales and tenders in accordance with company guidelines and targets
- Collaborating with internal teams including marketing and product development to ensure customer satisfaction
- Attending industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and generate leads
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform strategy and positioning
- Maintaining accurate records of activities, opportunities, and account status
- 2-3 years B2B sales experience in the health and wellness or medical/healthcare sector; background in consumer healthcare is an advantage
- Demonstrated success in selling to pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, or similar healthcare facilities
- Strong knowledge of consumer health and wellness trends, products, and regulatory considerations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple accounts and priorities
- NITEC/Higher NITEC, Polytechnic or above
- Possess valid driver's license is a bonus; language proficiency in Mandarin/Hokkien, Malay, or Tamil would be advantageous
- Exposure to end-to-end sales processes and P&L management
- Collaborative, non-hierarchical team environment working directly with the founder and marketing manager
- Network opportunities within the Singaporean retail ecosystem
- Base salary + commission structure
- Inclusion of benefits and travel allowance
- Downtown co-working space with hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days in office, remaining remote)
