The role of Insurance Executive is to administer all insurance policies, declarations, payments and certificates for a shipping company.
Key responsibilities include the administration of all declarations and certificates of marine and non-marine insurance, working with all departments in Singapore and branches and subsidiaries within the company on all data related to fleet insurance.
Accurate data processing and recording are crucial to creating and maintaining insurance vessels databases.
- Collaborate with brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient collection, processing, and maintenance of vessel insurance data.
- Maintain and update invoices and credit notes register for all insurance types.
- Maintain databases for all certification for vessel insurances including P&I, H&M, COFR, WRC, bunker blue cards etc. in collaboration with fleet departments and third-party ship managers.
- Maintain and update the Insurance intranet webpages for both SSL and SB.
- Collect and tabulate annual insurance renewal progress and information from all overseas offices and subsidiaries.
Apart from these administrative tasks, the Insurance Executive will also be responsible for tracking and providing real-time updates to internal teams regarding active databases for owned vessels and third-party tonnage.
They must maintain strict discipline to keep records on a daily basis to ensure that all vessels on/off risks are promptly recorded.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to provide regular reports to management.
